Unscrupulous online merchants holding your money before shipping the product... by John Doe[_1_]
The store puts a hold on your money so that they can grab it whenever they feel like it. Then they tell you the product is backordered. They don't trust us at the same time they aren't trustworthy. Why can't they just check to see if the money is there when they are ready to ship the product?...

Anyone have the customer service email address for the Visa Slate credit card? I couldn't find one with Google. I much prefer email over phone contact. TIA -- "Where there's smoke there's toast!" Anon

Outgoing mail by KenK
I sometimes wonder how risky is it to leave outgoing mail with checks enclosed in a rural-type mailbox. I try to put it in only an hour or two in advance, but it can be difficult to predict the pickup time - especially around Xmas. Yesterday the mail that normally goes out around noon still...

Electric razor by Metspitzer
I was thinking about getting both my niece and nephew the same gift. I was thinking an electric razor would be good. Is there a model that work the same for men and women? What makes them different?

When is "faster" internet really just the same speed? When you haveTime Warner's "Everyday Low Price Internet", evidently..... by Ohioguy
For the past few years I've used Time Warner cable Internet. The price was about $20 a month originally, then $25, for 1 megabit per second speeds. That was fine 99.9% of the time, but occasionally (around once a month) I have to work with high resolution graphics images (downloading, &...

knocked $6 off my monthly Internet bill by Ohioguy
We get Time Warner Cable Internet Lite. I noticed about a year and a half ago that they started charging $4 a month "rent" on the cable modem that previouisly had been provided for free. A few months ago, this fee went up to $6 a month. I don't like to rent anything. I found out I could...

Pre-bill? by KenK

Sure, I could live in a big house by Ernest Primeau
But why would I need a mansion when there's all the maintenance and taxes. In Florida, there are no property taxes associated with living in a camper trailer. There's just me and my pets so why a big house. I can take the savings and have my money manager invest the rest. Winning! Ernie
